“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” — Mary Oliver, The Summer Day
Hi, my name is Holly and I am the creator and photographer behind Redmond Adventures.
I was born and raised in Colorado and grew up with a deep love of the outdoors. My brothers

and I would spend our free time hiking the mountains above the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs or building tree forts in the woods behind our house. I have always been intrigued by photography, particularly Ansel Adams, but in high school I took a black and white photography class and have been truly hooked ever since.
Although my career took me away from Colorado and into the suburbs of Washington, DC for a few years, I continued to look for opportunities to get outdoors. I got into kayaking primarily due to the limited hiking options close to where I was living, but fell in love on my first trip out. Now, back home in Colorado, I spend my free time either in the mountains or on the water, my camera never far away.
I love to explore the natural wonders our world has to offer. Tranquil mountain landscapes, powerful rivers, and vast oceans will always draw me in. And experiencing all the ways people enjoy these beautiful places is a never-ending endeavor. Redmond Adventures is a way for me to share my adventures through photography and the occasional blog posting.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy!
